Reading in the Wild!

Joan hosts a TV show about books on Auburn Community Television (ACTV) to recommend awesome books you'll want to read! You can watch on ACTV's YouTube channel.

Books are chosen from many genres, all with nature-centered themes. The latest episode focuses on three hiking adventure books: Havoc: Trouble on the Trail by Cam Torrens, A Walk in the Park by Kevin Fedarko, and Everest and the Rest of Us by James Nehring
The next episode will be out soon. Joan will be sharing her thoughts about two novels, both set in the future, The Ministry of Time by Kaliane Bradley and The Light Pirate by Lily Brooks-Dalton.

About Joan Griffin
Joan lives under the spell of wanderlust. She takes wing, whenever possible, for actual destinations near and far and for literary locales in the pages of books. A third-generation Californian and proud UCLA Bruin, Joan lives in the Northern California foothills of the majestic Sierra Nevada, a world she loves exploring. Joan navigated her way through two careers—marketing computers, then sailboats—before applying her love of storytelling to her dual passions of teaching and writing.

Joan is currently working on book number two, Strangers in My Blood, due to be published by Black Rose Writing in November 2027.
